The Open Utopia is assembled from translations and editions of More’s Utopia that are in the public domain. The preface, introduction and footnotes, written by myself, are licensed under Creative Commons, as are the few new translations I commissioned especially for this project. The Creative Commons “by-sa” license allows users to freely use, study, copy, share, and modify the work, as long as attribution is given and the content remains free to share.
Th e site and its tools are built on free and open source software when possible.
